Successful Season for Vita Internazionale

Vita Internazionale over came an extremely slow start to the season to finish in a commanding third place position. Not too many teams could salvage a season, which began with 4 losses in their first 6 games an uncharacteristic beginning for the maturing B division powerhouse. The turning point seemed to be a few encouraging results; first in the Ambassador Cup finishing in third place out of 16 teams and then a solid performance at the Mark Forster Memorial in Peterborough. After these tournaments, the team went on a bit a of streak in the league winning 6 games and tying 1. Pietro Cutrona took home top goal scoring honours leading the league with 18 goals in 16 league games. Midfielder Sal Cutrona finished the year with 11 league goals in 16 games, which was enough for 5th place in the league. Newcomer Mike Pacheco played an integral role in the team suring up the center midfield and drawing comparisons to famed Chelsea midfielder Claude Makelele from Coach Vito Cutrona. Dan Bernardino also made his presence felt, joining the team late in the season and potting 4 goals in 5 league games.
